To add an extra ghostly effect, why not tweed in one strand of light effects to make the flames shimmer? I suggest DMC: E155, E3837, E718 and E211, the latter for a softer effect as it is a pearlescent effect thread rather than jewel, like the others. You could even consider tweeding in one strand of glow in the dark thread to the eyes to make it really spooky.

Hi everyone
Thank you so much for your kind words on Facebook and DeviantArt. I was released from hospital yesterday, but I still have a long way to go for recovery. I will attempt to upload a new pattern daily, but I can’t spend much time at the computer as I need to keep my leg elevated to help my circulation. I’m currently hooked up to a Negative Pressure Wound Therapy system which is an incredibly cool machine that encourages skin granulation and reduces the risk of infection at the site of an open wound. TMI? Sorry!
Thank you for your patience. I’m hoping to be back to full strength in no time!
