Posters depicturing the “launching” of a shu’halo towards a net consisting of several odd-looking sindoreis are sticked about in most of the Horde’s cities. It seems it’s not a joke.

A lenghtful note follows:

Fellow people of the Horde, you are all invited for the 1st annual Taurenian Canon Extravaganza! that will be held at the Darkmoon Faire in the vicinity of Shattrah City this August 5th, thirty minutes after the sixth bell!
Verily, you will be entertained by our two Star Guests, Durkas Winterhoof and Utharren Theron, as they will both be launched in the air for the Horde’s communities! You will also be invited to donate* before our two brave souls face the limits of the skies; donations that will be given to people in need throughout the Horde lands.

But that’s not all!

We would also be very happy to see you stay awhile after the show! Drinks and snacks will be offered!

Dear citizens,

In order to show our continued respect and gratitude for our fellow citizens the dwarves and gnomes, the Concerned Citizens have decided to open the tavern next week in the Dwarven homeland.

You will find the tavern in the cozy backrooms of Anvilmar, come pull up a chair and sit yourself at the bar!

All dwarves and gnomes will receive their drinks for free during the evening.

The Concerned Citizens would like to stress everyone to take precautions when going through the coldridge pass. In spite of the work from the dwarves and gnomes defending the pass, it has seen an infestation from troggs. Make sure to have an armed escort with you. The concerned citizens will try and provide magical transport for our visitors in order to avoid this pass.

The tavern will open at 20h as always.

Your attention is drawn to the impressive figure of an armored paladin on horseback approaching you at a slow canter. The paladin brings a gauntleted hand to his helm, raising the visor. The lines around his eyes betray his years spent in the saddle, yet it is the look in his eyes that speak to the true weight those years bear on him. The horse canters closer, each hoofstep landing with precision and care. Finally, the paladin murmurs softly to his mount and the horse comes to a stop. Without a word the paladin reaches down into his saddlebag, withdrawing a scroll tied with dark blue ribbon and sealed with blue wax. The paladin smiles as he extends the scroll to you, pressing it firmly in your hand. He then gives you a quick nod before reaching up to once again lower his visor. As your eyes drop to examine the scroll the paladin urges his mount on with a quiet word, his cloak billowing behind him as he gallops away. The seal breaks easily and unrolling the scroll reveals a map and directions written in long, flowing script. You have been invited to journey to the Valorhold. The Vanguard of Valor has called upon you!

*Dim candlelight lends its aid to your viewing of an old book, bound by lengthy decarations, a pale skull and bone acting as latch and key, the pages flicker and you begin to read*

‘Chapter One: Rags and Bones, Riches of Defilation.’

‘There was once a man, who claimed he sailed the seas as if they were friends of his, spoken casually and dressed to dine, a man who believed he could sail into the Maelstorm and return home a rich man, a man whose eye for plunder decieved many and a man whose blade, rustic and sharp, made the end of many people. This is the story of Captain Ike…of the Reaping Swoop…’

*Many Tears addorn the next few pages*

Captain Ike, was a human sailor, who aspired to be more and fell into corruption shortly before the problem with the scourge became a serious issue to the world of Azeroth. He rose through the ranks, became a captain of his own ship, and lost it all in the maelstorm on a crazy bet he’d made to himself, when his body washed up in Eastern Kalimdor, he was risen from death to serve the Lich King. Captain Ike however found himself in the safe embrace of the Banshee Queen and upon returning to his ’senses’ he began to reattire himself and prepare a fortune to set out his pirating journeys again.

Recruitment!

We are searching for more members in general (we are very new) Level 40-60+ would be brilliant since we would like to start raiding Pre-Tbc content. Many of our raids will be in character and we’ve been trying to keep dungeon runs similiarly styled.

Please. If you can’t be mature 90% of the time don’t reply or whisper me in game regarding invitations. We will be Rp’ing as pirates and criminals, sometimes we will be RP’ing as drunken asses but please. Maturity is the key thing to making this sort of RP work.

At current, we have some titles (Taken from another pirate genre) that being said, the first… 10-15 people to really proove themselves and also come up with various schemes and successfull attempts at raiding ‘treasure troves’.

Guild Information

  • Guild Chat, we don’t enforce IC guild chat. Although we heavily encourage the use of piratey speech and lingo throughout, it seems quite enjoyable when you start nattering on about your mateys and ahoying here and there.
  • We try to meet in Booty Bay when we can, its a focal point for our Crew (Of the Reaping Swoop) although i understand some people (Bloodsail Admirals in particular) cannot attend BB, So there will be another couple of meeting spots decided soon.
  • Roleplaying as our guild? You don’t have to act like a Pirate/Criminal all of the time. If you are just hanging about silvermoon, feel free to Rp normally with friends etc. But please. Don’t fly our colours (Tabard) Unless you intend on plunder, booty and sailing the salty sea!
  • Reaping Swoop, we treat our Guild Chat, as our ship and vessel ‘The Reaping Swoop’ not much information to be said on this but i thought it would be worth mentioning.

Posting more soon, please keep an eye out for us : ). Whisper me in game or post on here if you would like to join or support us as spies in the mainlands!

We will Rise! Or we will Die trying!

The beginning of an era

After the fall of the grand High Elves and their forest kingdom of Quel’thalas, the remainders of the race were left to suffocate under the ashes of their legacy. Their only placeholder in the royal bloodline, Kael’thas Sunstrider, renamed them Blood Elves – or Sin’dorei – in honour of their crushed brethren.

In the ravaged kingdom, Kael’thas appointed one Halduron Brightwing Ranger General, military commander of what remained of his people, charging him with the reformation and rebuilding of the once enigmatic city of Silvermoon. Brightwing set about the creation of a military unit, comprising only the best and most elite men and women to protect the slow recovery of Quel’thalas.

The future of the Sin’dorei lay on a knife edge. Their spirits broken, they looked toward the sole survivor of the Convocation of Silvermoon, the former ruling council slain in Prince Arthas’ massacre. Kael’thas Sunstrider did not remain, however, seeking providence instead with his men in Outland.

With the revelation of Sunstrider’s true affiliations, the Phoenix Guard now vigilantly watch over the lands of the Sin’dorei – from old threats and new. Loyal not to royalty but to the city, the Phoenix Guard stand stoic with their kin in the face of contempt and danger, training only the exemplars of their age to safeguard the denizens of Quel’thalas.

Who are we?

We are roleplayers, just like you!

The Phoenix Guard is a highly established and well-known roleplay guild situated in the EU realm, Darkmoon Faire. We are exclusively compromised of sin’dorei, or Blood Elves. We have been active for two years and counting, and have gathered together a tight-knit community consisting both of guild members and friends that reside in other guilds. Through this, we offer roleplay in differing avenues. We introduce ourselves as one of the first guilds that took the step to enjoy roleplaying from the perspective of the new bold race, after the inception of the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft.

Why should I join?

The Phoenix Guard allows and/or aims for:

  • Immersive Guard structure – Our guild is organised in a military-like manner.
  • PvE guild events – IC Instance runs, attacks on world locations of various enemies.
  • IC PvP guild events – Raiding Alliance locations.
  • Generic RP – plots, random roleplay (assisting a Guard in desperate times), organised roleplay (patrols).

Add-ons – we recommend (but do not enforce) the use of popular roleplaying add-ons, such as the recent ‘Gryphonheart Items’ application. We welcome other suggestions!

In addition to this, we also prize ourselves on our community and our casual approach to roleplay. We are knowledgeable, but are not elitist, and we offer the chance for people to hone their technique for roleplaying as well as providing a haven for top-quality roleplay.

How do I join?

www.phoenixguard.co.uk

It’s easy!

To join, simply register at our forums and follow the simple template that we have set out for applicants under the board ‘Join the Phoenix Guard!’. You will be given plenty of scope to discuss as much about your character as you wish. In doing so, you can also chat with us in our active public boards. Humour is rife. You shall not get bored, we can assure you that.

Thank you for reading!

This will be a day to take our minds of the many troubles that we face every day. We invite you all to join us for a wonderful event! There will be a booze stand for the thirsty among us (i.e. dwarves). We will have riders on the tracks, strutting their stuff (in a speedy fashion), and a bookie on the sidelines to take your bets! But being as the bookie is Saranini, one of the most fiery and short tempered mages to grace the planes of Azeroth who would scorch your scalp the second you try to double cross her, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

On almost every door in Stormwind City have been nailed pieces of parchment. After reading a few you realize that the message is the same on all:

“Greetings citizens of Stormwind, and indeed of the entire Alliance. These are dark times that we live in, enemies and traitors invade us on all fronts, plague is striking our dead and demons ravaging our nightmares. The armies of the Alliance are spread thin, working tirelessly to fight off our would be destroyers and we should respect and admire them for their pure hearted work.
But it is not enough.
Darker methods than the ones employed by the armies and heroes need to be used. The death knights have been allowed to rejoin their former comrades, but this is not enough. We need to strike back with all our might, using all tools and methods that are available. Traitors need to be rooted out and destroyed, our enemies killed, plagued or removed in any way possible. Since we recognize the need for the army to stay pure, a new organization has been formed.
The Night Brigade. We will serve the Alliance in ways that the pure cannot.
If you feel a need to protect at all costs, by all means join us.
We will find you.

The Commander.”
