HOMELAND SEEKS SPONSORS for a GUILD BANK AUCTION with PROCEEDS TO GO to CHARITY!
On Wednesday, July 8, starting at 6:30 PM, Homeland will be hosting an auction on the roof of the Orgrimmar bank, open to all and with proceeds supporting charities throughout the Horde. We invite other guilds to participate in this community-supporting sale by contributing used, chipped, tarnished, or otherwise remaindered items from their guild banks. One orc’s trash may become a new troll’s treasure here – or it may simply become an amusing memento for a shelf somewhere. Either way, we are confident that buyers can be found for many items unusable to our own members, and hope that other guilds will take advantage of this opportunity as well.
Participation can be done in one of two ways – first, and easiest, is to simply send our auctioneer (a dapper Forsaken gentleman known as Eming) any items you wish to see sold, and the name of your guild. He will see them priced and put on the block appropriately. Far more interesting is to send your own representative to take the auctioneer’s stand and pitch the items – remember, the better the story of its purchasing history, the more buyers will take it just to have a novelty!
However you choose to participate, we hope that you will all take part in this charitable event, and rid your guild banks of some useless clutter in the process. And of course, all members of the Horde, whether contributors to the auction or not, are welcome as buyers – flyers will be posted advertising the auction itself a few days before.
Contact Auctioneer Eming or Greatmother Arjah of the Homeland with any questions or auctionable merchandise – we will be accepting submissions up until the day of the auction, and anything that can be sold will be!
With Charitable Intention,
Greatmother Arjah,
Homeland

Throm-ka!
The Bloodpaw Clan invites all members of the Horde to come enjoy a few hours of orcish clan-life. The new chieftain under the guidance of their elder shaman has brought a renaissance to the Clan itself, preparing it for a new purpose. It is a long and dangerous task to meddle with the past and especially that of the orcs. Some might not wish it uncovered – Rather they would have the orcs entirely forget their shamanistic roots and return to a fel driven blood fury. So the chieftain and the clan shaman prepares for war…
Date:
14 June 2009
Time:
20:00
Location:
Razor Hill
Event details:
At the Clan hours you can expect the following:
- The mighty drums of the Horde playing in the background.
- Plenty of meat and drinks.
- The Bloodfights! Who is the strongest? Who deserves the respect of the mighty Bloodpaw Clan?
- Tales of the past – Of war and conflict! Death and glory!
- Offering to the ancestors and the spirits.
We will start off with a mighty feast in preparation of the sparring. The mighty drums of the Horde will get the blood running and the juices of the meat tender your muscle for battle. The feast will continue through the night until the end of the event.
When the evening comes of time the Bloodfights will begin. Any member of the Horde can participate in these dangerous and brutal games of war. Only one will be left standing victorious. And that person will receive the mighty title of Champion of the Bloodfights for a week from the chieftain of the Clan. Do not enter these if you cannot win a martial fight – For you may put your life at risk.
As the Bloodfights has ended the night is coming to an end and the elder shaman of the Bloodpaw Clan will provide an offering to our ancestors and the forceful spirits. To thank them for this mighty feast and gathering – and for them to continue to guide the Bloodpaw Clan and the Horde safely through this time and journey to come.
So when and where will it happen? I will tell you:
Place: Razor Hill.
Time: 20:00 Sunday

Other Contacts:
The vicious Jungle Trolls, who populate the numerous jungle isles of the South Seas, are renowned for their cruelty and their dark mysticism. Barbarous and superstitious, the wily Trolls carry a seething hatred for all other races.
Led by the cunning Shadow Hunter, Vol’jin, the Darkspear Trolls now make their home in Durotar, ‘though they have other villages scattered throughout Kalimdor. Their capital village, named after their fallen tribal elder Sen’jin, lies along the eastern coast of the harsh, rocky land, and their eyes are ever across the sea to where the broken Darkspear Isles lie in their jungle home…
As part of the Horde, the Trolls have extended their loyalty to the mighty Tauren, but they have little trust for the manipulative Forsaken and conniving Blood Elves, whom they believe will visit only misery and strife upon their allies.
The sun set over Kalimdor, a bruised and livid red on the horizon. Twilight shadows began to creep across the sands, the soft whispering of the waves against the beach muffling the crunch of footsteps as she walked towards the Village. Over her shoulder was a great catch of fish, enough to feed the village for a day. Bom’bay’s laughter echoed through the trees, and the light of the bonfire cast dark shadows from the village, with such a beating and flaming heart at its core.
Dancing fillled the village as she approached. The warriors had returned.
She threw down the mess of fish upon a great stone anvil, and set to work cleaning them. Flesh for the fire, guts for the pot. The dancing continued, with booze being passed around. From the shadows at the edge of the circle, the witch doctors watched in silence for a moment more, then joined the celebration. The hunters had made a great kill today. Tonight there would be a feast.
She carried the wet fish guts over to the stew pot, and cast them in. They settled into the boiling gumbo, adding their slimy bulk to the feast to come. She sniffed deeply at the gumbo. Spices and meat. Thick, hearty chunks. Glancing about, she saw that the rest of the village had joined the dance. Drink flowed freely.
Carefully she reached down to the boiling gumbo, and hooked out a chunk of flesh for the tasting. Just a taste. Her tusks ground against the bone within. Tasty. Quickly she dropped the meat – with only four of its fingers remaining – back into the pot, and turned to join the dance.
