To the citizens of Brill and allies in the Horde:

Everyone is invited to come to Brill on Wednesday, the 15th of July, at 8:00 pm. The Brill Apothecary Society is hosting a Festival to celebrate the hope to the life we have after death, even before we reach our goal. We have no less reason to celebrate the turning of seasons or the gathering of friends than we did when we were alive. We do not need to wait until the wars have stopped and peace has come to celebrate what we have now.

There will be prizes, refreshments, lots of giveaways, and the chance to meet people. Spread the word and bring your friends!

Well met, people of Azeroth!

The end of the Midsummer Fire Festival is drawing near, bringing an end to two weeks of fire fun. But we’d be damned if we’d ‘just’ let it end! For this reason, lady Rosane of the Holy Templars shall be hosting a Midsummer Fire Festival Feast, in celebration to the end of Midsummer Fire Festival.

The location for this will be the Altar of Storms in the Burning Steppes, next to Blackrock Mountain. A strange location for a feast? Allow me to explain.

Ragnaros, the fire lord, has been found preparing his minions to head for the Altar of Storms, strangely enough. After several investigations, by scouting groups of the Holy Templars, we have discovered his true intent.

During the Second and Third war, the orcs constructed these huge structures, with as prime purpose channeling their power into ogres, and thus ogre-magi were born. At the end of the Third war, many have invested time into destroying these Altars, so greatly that currently only two remain that we currently know of.

We have discovered that Ragnaros, seeks to channel power into his minions, instead of demonic energy, infusing them with more energy from the elemental plane. His plan is to send a group of flamewalkers there to have them retool the Altar of Storms for Ragnaros’s purposes. His plan may not come to succeed! And thus, we decided to guard the Altar of Storms, especially during the Midsummer Fire Festival, where the sun is at it’s highest and the temperature at it’s hottest.

However, in doing so, we recognized we would probably miss the end of the festival, and be stuck, in basically what is nowhere, guarding.

And thus lady Rosane came with the idea to hold a Midsummer Fire Festival Feast at the location itself, to keep the spirits of our soldiers up. Immediately, someone asked the question if we would want to celebrate with ourselves only, or share it with all who roam this world. We chose the latter, and that is why I stand here today, as I, on behalf of the Holy Templars, invite all in Azeroth to come, come and guard, come and celebrate!

The Midsummer Fire Festival Feast shall be host to several activities, such as flamewalking(an activity where you must cross the path whilst fire magi will attempt to make it hard as possible for you to pass, by summoning fire on your path!), Juggling shows, shown by trained torch jugglers, also allowing the common man to come forward and show their juggling skills! And of course, a professional catering crew AND a souvenir shop are ready to fill your hunger and shopping needs!

This, and more activities, will all take place on Saturday, the 4th of July, at the Altar of Storms in the Burning Steppes, west of Blackrock Mountain. For those who do not feel strong enough to venture in the lands by themselves, an escort will bring those who wish to safely to the Altar of Storms.

We shall end the night by setting down cannons of firework at the Altar, and then firing these off to light the skies, and at the same time destroy the altar, in that it may never be used for evil purposes again!

In case the fireworks will not be enough to destroy the altar, demolitionists are prepared to lay the final explosives.

As said before, we invite all in Azeroth to come and join us in a night of fun, to properly end the Midsummer Fire Festival! And thus, I hope to see you all there. Farewell!

*Terrafros steps off the box and walks away, accompanied by three of the Holy Templars*

That is correct, all your lovely friends at the Azeroth Efforts are going to be holding weekly Campfire/Bonfire gatherings which is open to everyone and anyone who is interested. In the Bonfires, we will be singing in song, playing all sorts of fun activities, sharing stories of our travels, and above all, we serve FOOD! We encourage all people of any (( non-lore butchering )) background to come attend and bring all friends who are interested in having a merry time of recreation.

The first Bonfire event will be held on this Friday, the 3rd(( 8PM server time )). The location is at the Aurberdine Fire Festival Bonfire, which the Flame Wardens were kind enough to let us borrow for our celebration. What are we celebrating? Well, living, of course! In times like this, we need these breaks to calm ourselves and recreate our great morale. The members of , as mentioned, will be providing refreshments and a few stories to tell, but we would gladly take any support that some sentient friends here on Azeroth would like to offer.

The Campfire after this week will be held on the same time on the Friday. The location will be a secluded Camp in the Elwynn Forest, which we will have a few of our magisters aid you in arriving on request. We will also have an open portal for people leaving the campsite to Dalaran. The same events will be held at this Campfire; Storytelling, Song and dance, Food and et cetera. Again, this event is completely free but will accept any aid to make it more enjoyable.

Above all, we would like to try our hardest to keep the piece at these gatherings. Those who start fights or cause trouble will either be given a harsh warning or be quickly banished from the grounds. Thank you for your time, and if you are interested in joining the Efforts, please give me, Xegno, a message and I’ll quickly arrange an interview for your recruitment, provided with more information about the and it’s cause.

THE STORMWIND POST-SPECIAL BREAKING-NEWS ISSUE

GOLD-RUSH FEVER HITS TANARIS!

This very morning, word has reached us at the Stormwind Post of excitable activity in the once desolate deserts of Tanaris, far across the sea in Kalimdor. Hundreds have begun flocking to the dusty, dune-filled land, buying as many shovels and picks as they can carry. The reason? Gold!

In the past month, gold has begun to appear all over the deserts of Tanaris. We interviewed Kirk Stonefield, an Elwynn resident who has recently returned from there. He told us: ‘There’s gold everywhere! Sprouting up from the very sand and rocks, like some sort’a magical fruit! Me and the others couldn’t believe our eyes! We managed to fill several crates full o’ the stuff before running out of storage space and heading back to the Eastern Kingdoms. I’m goin’ back out there tomorrow to snap up the rest!’

But since the discovery of the vast gold reserves, many others have had the same idea as Kirk. Sentient species from all over Azeroth have started travelling to Tanaris in order to make their fortune, quickly forgetting their responsibilities at home: the Stormwind Post has heard reports of farmers, miners and even soldiers packing up and buying boat tickets to Tanaris.

But why the sudden arrival of such vast quantities of gold? We spoke to a Representative of the Gnomish Council of Science, and local-Watchman, Cedric P. Tinkerton. ‘Well,’ the gnome told us, ‘the sudden increase in gold-discovery could be due to a number of reasons. However, most likely is that one of the region’s earthquakes could have caused the gold ore, which was long buried beneath the sand, to move upwards and appear at the surface. Or maybe some sort of asteroid crashed and the gold came from that…anyway, this is all besides the point. People are getting rich out there in Tanaris, and I’m joining the bandwagon before all the gold is claimed! Now out of my way, I need to buy a bigger suitcase!’

With the arrival of so many hopeful gold-hunters in Tanaris, there has also been an increase in the area’s economy. The once desolate port of Steamwheedle is now a thriving hub of trade and commerce, and several merchants and tavern-keeps have decided to set up shop in order to profit from the influx of gold-hunters. Problems have however begun to arise in these quickly growing ‘gold-towns’: as they are far from the jurisdiction of the Alliance, these towns are technically lawless and filled with corruption. The Stormwind Post has heard reports of a number of drunken brawls, gun-fights, gambling and even harlotry in Steamwheedle Port alone. To counteract this, several Priests of the Holy Light have been dispatched to Steamwheedle Port in order to try and bring morality and peace back to the region. We have also been told that the Goblin Trade Cartels have begun to employ some travellers as rudimentary law-enforcers, paid to keep the peace in these various ‘Gold-Towns’.

Will the boom of gold in Tanaris lead to riches and prosperity for those who go seek it, or will it breed nothing but destruction and greed? The Stormwind Post suggests you go find out for yourself! Good luck readers!

Grand Opening Announcement!

K-O’s Fish and Dive Nautical Outfitters is now open for business! To kick things off we will be serving up a feast in Booty Bay on the 25th of this month at 9pm. Bring your swimsuits and compete in the Crazy Cannonball contest and other events! Suitable prizes will be awarded.

Riders are welcome, so bring your hogs on down

A note from the proprietor:

Hi, I’m Kohane, and I want to invite all my fellow citizens, including the Alliance, to take a break from the hardships of conquest and relax for a bit. Arthas is on the defensive, the Alliance is mainly focused on our common enemies, and we’ve successfully invaded Northrend. Speaking of which, did anybody else notice how cold the water is around there? We’ve got plenty of nice warm water and great beaches right here close to home. I’ll organize some diving expeditions, polar-bear swims, and what-nought on the cold continent in the future, but right now let’s remember our homeland and enjoy what it has to offer. See you there!

((We’re looking for somebody to co-sponsor a “Drag Night At The Pier” hog-racing event at some point; if you’ve got the organization (and organizational skills) to make it happen, please let me know.))

The penetrating heat of the humid desert day simmered down to a humid twilight as the moon shined down upon the endless ocean that stretched out further than the eye could see. Gentle waves lapping at the coast keeping a low, steady rhythm that sounded the continous heartbeat of the desert’s tranquil coastline.

But soon…Soon the hazy tedium would shatter, soon this secluded stretch of sand would erupt into the marvelous merriment of the summer’s most anticipated occasion.

What? The beach party, of course.

Events:

  • Barbeque on the beach.
  • Story-telling circle.
  • Boxing match(es).
  • A fireworks display. (Possibly)
  • A fishing contest.
  • The great feast.

Who?

Absolutely anyone of the Alliance, as long as you’re a roleplayer. And possibly some of the Horde, aswell.

The Sin’dorei have suffered much in their time, faced many obstacles, betrayals and challenges – and yet have still managed to restore much of their beloved Quel’thalas and push back the Scourge in the process. It is this fierce determination and their prevailing nature that is cherished, and it is these noble qualities that are cause for celebration.

Seeking to offer some reward for their people, The Sunwarders have organised a feast and dance to celebrate the glory of being Sin’dorei, and the overcoming of the many obstacles that barred their path. The event will be held at Fairbreeze Village after dusk.
