It is easy to understand why so many of my contemporaries prefer to let this history die. Let it sink into oblivion silently, slipping beneath the waters of time until the surface of the lake is once again unruffled, and no one knows of the shame lurking in the depths. I, too, feel that shame, though I was not alive when this occurred. I see it in Drek’Thar’s face as he recounts his part of the tale in a shaking voice. I saw the weight of it on Orgrim Doomhammer. Grom Hellscream, friend and traitor and friend again, was ravaged by it.
But to pretend it did not exist is to forget how dreadful the impact was. To make ourselves into victims, rather than claiming our participation in our own destruction. We chose to this path, we orcs. We chose it right up until it was too late to turn back. And having made that choice once, we can, with the knowledge that we have of the end of that dark and shameful road, choose not to take it.
So I wish to hear the testimony of those who placed one foot in front of the other on a road that spelled near obliteration of our kind. I want to understand why they took each step, what had to happen for it to seem logical and good and right.
I want to know this so when I see it unfolding again, I will recognize it.
Humans have two sayings that are wise beyond imagining. The first is,
‘Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it.’
And the second is…
‘Know your enemy.’” – Warchief Thrall, Rise of the Horde.
So it begins. So I thought to myself. The greatest and most difficult task bestowed upon me and in extension upon my clan and those who would seek to aid us. I feel both greatly honored, but also troubled. The greater the honor, the greater the fall should I fail my task. Not long will it be now until my clan is ready for the perils of Draenor.
I took a dry stick from the ground, snapped it over with my hands and threw it into the fire right in front of me. Narsh, my wolf – my trusted friend and companion, growled silently as the wood caught fire. “So the wood return to the earth through fire and with water and wind it shall grant new life yet again. The circle of the elements if you will. Ever-“
“-thing is connected, yes.” I broke the elderly orc, on the other side of the campfire, off. He looked fragile, nearly as if should a wind blow just a little bit too strong he would fall apart. I knew, however that it was far from the case. He smiled even though I had interrupted him.
“I’ve taught you everything I could, young chieftain. Without you being a shaman naturally.” He paused, now looking upon me with his imposing eyes.”You are ready and so will your clan be. The spirits are restless. They urge you to travel. Heed their call.”
“We shall leave at the sixteenth day in the eighth moon of the year, Far Seer Hroshgar.” I nodded simply in his direction. My previous uncertainty began to gain in me again. I tried and failed not to face the far seer. No matter, he would know anyway.
“You doubt yourself?” He raised an eyebrow at me. I snorted, taking control of my own feelings as he had taught me so many years ago.
“I am the weapon of my Warchief’s command. His desire is mine. To doubt myself would be to doubt him. No. I will do this task and so will the rest of my clan. We will do it or die trying. Victory or death that is the most fundamental of truths.”
“Better.”
So I thought to myself. So it begins.

Stormwind is becoming a dangerous place to live, criminals stalk every corner, corruption spreads
through the leadership. Are you tired of it? Join Lord Ráimson Barlov and the Ironforge Royal Academy as they move to Ironforge, away from greed, corruption and crime and start a new history for the Alliance. Ask yourself, it is time for change?
Date: 21 June 2009
Time: 14:00
Location: Participants should meet by the fountain in the Cathedral Square in Stormwind.
Event details:
Stormwind is becoming overcrowded, ridden with crime and corrupt. Lord Ráimson Barlov is leading all those who wish to come to the Dwarven city of Ironforge to start everything from fresh. With the newly built Royal Ironforge Academy and permission from King Magni we will be forming the IRC or Ironforge Royal Council to govern and manage affairs in Ironforge aswell as aim to repopulate the city.
Full building permission for new organisations will be granted and for those who wish to transfer their own to the great city will be welcomed. Any Organisation or Guild may apply for a place in the IRC and a significant role in governing the city. Only come if you wish to stay in Ironforge and contribute to restoring the city to it’s former glory.
The turnout is expected to be large, this will be well organised to avoid confusion or problems. You may not claim buildings unless you have permission from the IRC or any other right ranking organisation or alliance. When we arrive in Ironforge we will move to in front of the Bank in the Commons to group up and then move to the King’s Chambers to sign the documents and sort out accommodation for all the new residents of Ironforge. I hope to see many turn up for the historic day.
Lord Ráimson Barlov

25th – 31st May 2009. Sporeggar/Alliance.
Sporeggar’s role-play awareness week, sponsored by the Coalition – aka the Underfoot Brigade, the Hyjal Sentinels and the Golden Leaf. This week long event will celebrate role-play and will hopefully encourage as many people as possible to remember why they came to Sporeggar in the first place – to role-play.
We would urge as many of you as we can to put aside your Instance runs, your levelling and your raiding in favour of concentrating on role-playing. This isn’t a great feat to try to encourage, after all a week only consists of 7 days. Role-play is expected to take place any and everywhere and not just in “role-play events” or simply between your fellow guild friends. Read more… »

The Sunwarders invite all those capable to join them on a pilgrimage in honour of those that assured the survival of the Sin’Dorei.
As such, we would be honoured of those interested joining us in this humble task to take this long trek with us.
Date:
6 June 2009
Time:
14:00 – 18:00
Location:
Eversong Woods – Falcon Watch
Event details: Andorien or Arathyrion
It has been some time since many of our people set out on a pilgrimage to Draenor, seeking to follow our beloved Prince to a permanent solution to the many obstacles we faced.
Those who succeeded in reaching him were deemed traitors, and many gave up partway; some perished during the journey; unused to such a harsh trek.
The Sunwarders wish to honour the memory of those who set out on those pilgrimages, and so on the sixty day of the week at mid-day they will be gathering Sin’Dorei outside of Silvermoon city in order to re-enact the journey.
The trek will not be an easy task, but we assure those who attend that they will be in safe hands.
Those of you who know how to fight are advised to bring weapons and armour, and supplies of food and drink are also strongly advised. Travel as light as possible, but with emphasis on essential equipment. Those who fear such a long journey will be impossible for them need not have their doubts – we will stop to rest at various landmarks along the way, and we will tell stories about those who made the journey in the past. The pilgrimage will end at Falcon Watch, since we deem it too dangerous to take the unprepared all the way to Netherstorm. Once we arrive, rest and relaxation will be our priority, sharing more
tales before returning to our beloved Quel’thalas once again.
Please contact Andorien or Arathyrion if you have any questions or concerns!

Guild: Defenders of Mulgore
Venue: Ratchet, The Barrens
Time: Wednesday the 13th of May, at 21.00 server time
Start location: Ratchet, Barrens
End location: Shrine (?) of the Fallen, Barrens.
Dress code: White
Factions: Both
PvP flag: off, please.
Again, a small and unambitious roleplaying event, held in all simplicity for those roleplayers who wish to attend. Both factions are welcome. Nothing much, but a little something.
It is a simple march for those who have fallen in battle, for those we have lost and left behind. We start out from the square in Ratchet and walk to the Shrine of the Fallen, a bit outside the Crossroads, where we pay respects to our lost and send prayer to whatever deity we happen to worship or believe in.
Dresscode is white. It doesn’t have to be only white, but the base should be white. Also, do keep your PvP flag off if possible. And even if there is someone starting a brawl, please ignore it and just move on.
Again, I will be there ready for the situation where I am the only one walking. Please feel free to come and join me.
