Summer be upon us. The pale veil of winter has pulled back underneath the horizon, and be replaced by a bright, clear sky as the wind breathes life back into the earth, clear water aplenty flows freely along our lands and the wild grows back to greet us in the light of the sun once again.

What better reason does the Horde need to celebrate the relightening of our fires, and the start of a flourishing period for the sunny days to come? It be because of this that I invite and all of you to come join us and revel in the fires of life. To rejuvinate our life, strength and bonds. To come join the rest of the Horde in celebrating the Midsummer Fires.

What place be better than the plains of Mulgore at Bloodhoof Village, a peaceful, flourishing safehaven for many young Tauren who be looking to prove themselves ready to face the big world of challenges that await them. It be here that the festival will start inbetween the sounding of the seventh and the eighth horn on the 28th day of the month.

Any attending be free to bring them own wares, services and even initiatives. A market will be held, with room aplenty for any to invite your fellow brothers and sisters over for a talk, trade, contest or whatever be more like it.

Let this be the chance for us to come together again, and complete the links that make us a Horde together. To survive the testing times that are to come, we are to live together, and allow this fire to sparkle within all of us, before we finally set out and spread the glory of the Horde like a wildfire!

Mua’Hela stretches and sighs, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. As she staggers down the hall towards the communal kitchen, she stumbles across several pieces of armour strewn careless across the floor. She pauses her trek and takes a really good look at her surroundings. Her brow begins dip into a scowl as the unsightly mess of her Hall comes into full focus. There was armor, weapons, tinkets and baubles pilled up onto every possible surface or corner of the main living quarters. Bags and boxes of different cloth were unceremoniously dumped here and there, cages with small animals rattle and squawk, while several flasks and jars of reagents and potions teeter precariously on the edges of over stocked supply shelves.

The floor of the Hall rumbles as she stomps a hoof in anger. How could they let this place grow into such a disaster! There was a Vault in the Home to hold all of these spare items!
With an impatient snort, the druid marches down another hallway to a large secure door. She speaks the magic words needed to disarm the wards and opens the massive vault.

Unable to jump back fast enough, the white furred Tauren is knocked down and buried by an avalanche of stuff. Her booming voice reverberates throughout the Hall, waking anyone who might have attempted to sleep in.

“Everybody get into the common room, NOW! We have an important matter to discuss!”

Held across the expanse of Stormwind’s latest sprawling addition – the Harbour – on the thirteenth of this month, traders and merchants from the Alliance are collecting to offer their best wares, alongside discounts and offers you’ll likely find nowhere else! Cut out the Auction House’s expensive middle man and see with your own eyes the merchants who have lovingly collected and brought their wares to sell.

Offering various examples of clothing and armour, pets, trading wares and miscellaneous goods, as well as delicious food and drink to wash down your latest great value purchase, the choice is astounding. As well as these already fantastic offers, a made-to-measure ordering service will be available on tailoring, leatherworking and alchemical goods, complete with free delivery.

Keep an eye out for market barkers who will shortly be strolling the streets, offering tokens for free drinks and citizen-specific market discounts and offers (subject only to participating LBC market vendors on the date printed. Terms and conditions apply.)

Should any Alliance merchants wish to participate in the Club-sponsored market, a small stall rental charge will be charged by the Legitimate Business Club, and you will be expected to arrange and display a valid license to trade in association with the market (obtainable from the Stormwind City Watch).

Are you weary of well-to-do Northrend adventurers charging absurd amounts of money for simple merchandise at the auction house, because their time is just that valuable? Do you cringe at the notion of paying several gold for a rudimentary cloth tunic or a few boxes of copper bars? Would you like to buy higher-end imported merchandise without first consulting a goblin mortgage broker? The Commonwealth Flea Market may have just what you’re looking for!

WHERE: The Trade District of Stormwind, in the open area outside the Auction House.

WHEN: Friday, June 5th at 7:00 pm server time.

WHAT: Crafting materials, weapons, armor, magical items and more!

WHY: Lots of reasons! To sell stuff at reasonable prices in a fun social environment, meet some of the Stormwind locals, raise a little money to support the Commonwealth guild, and make the greedy fatcats sweat by challenging their stranglehold on the market for a night.

HAGGLE! – We’ll be setting our starting prices significantly lower than the auction house average, but feel free to talk us down even more! Point out that chip in the gold necklace, express doubt over the history of that “slightly used” mage robe, insist that your brother’s former girlfriend’s ex-roommate bought the exact same bracelet for half the cost from Antonio Perelli two weeks ago. Haggling is half the fun!

BARTER! – Coinpurse a little light at the moment? No problem! If you have your eye on a certain item, offer another item in exchange! The next customer who comes along might be willing to purchase that gemstone you’ve been hanging onto as a good luck charm, or that extra sack of mountain silversage that’s been taking up space in your cupboard. If you’re looking for a way to sweeten the deal with one of the sellers, Lisa is said to have a notorious weakness for honey-frosted pastries …

To address the inevitable question, “What if unscrupulous types try to take advantage of the situation, and resell your merchandise at a substantial markup?” This could happen, and there’s not much we can do to keep those sort of opportunists away, but we know two things for certain. One, they won’t be able to buy everything we’re offering, or anywhere close to it … and two, we’ll be making them work extra-hard for one night to protect their precious profits. What matters isn’t our losses for the night, but the principle of what we’re trying to do.

Just to be on the safe side, though, if you see any goblins approaching the tables, you might want to make sure you get there first.

Greetings fellow citizens of the Kingdom!

The Great Sea Trade Company is happy to present you with our first Stormwind Harbor Market!
Everybody is free to enter without having to pay charge for a ticket, visit one of our many shopkeepers stalling their goods at the stands and around the harbor and see if you can find something that catches your eye.
We are also happy to announce that Radio Stormwind will be officialy launched at this event, reporting live from the scene about activities and interviewing the newly elected councillors.
It is of course possible to sell your own wares at this market, and the best thing about it: its free of charge! If you arrive a bit early, speak to Indaril Hexis (recognizable by the Gold and White tabard of the Great Sea Trade Company) and she will be happy to assign you a spot from where you can sell your goods.
Militia will patroll the market so criminals beware!
